FROID Psique / How it works
Follow the path from preparation to session review and understand how each channel reports what it was — or was not — able to assess.
Check the applicable authorizations. The browser asks for camera and microphone permissions when the room opens, and the capture condition is reported during the session, not on a prior test screen. The patient's and the professional's voice streams are handled separately according to the session configuration. This helps keep each utterance attributed correctly; it does not guarantee an error-free transcription.
The initial calibration establishes a vocal reference. The procedure and the indices are detailed in Technology.
The voice provides acoustic measures. The face provides numeric coefficients extracted in the browser; a single engine on the server estimates Action Units and interprets their combinations. These results are displayed separately.
It is like consulting two tracks of the same timeline: observing something in the voice and something in the face at the same moment does not prove that one contradicts the other.
A facial variant starts as a candidate. To enter the record, it must reappear in at least two distinct frames. Repeated or out-of-order frames do not count as new observations. Capture interruptions and expired readings end the continuity.
The updates of an event are gathered by its identifier. On reconnection, the available history is resynchronized. The dashboard and the report use the same engine; old records are not automatically reinterpreted by the current rules.
Missing coefficients, an undetected face, a capture failure or expiry result in no assessment. Unavailable information does not become zero nor remain as the last known value.
The facial record can continue without voice available; each channel declares its own condition. The repetition of a pattern does not mean confirmation of an emotion.
